Dispute Resolution Services

Resolving disputes without the cost of litigations

Whether you’re a business dealing with a difficult supplier, a consumer who’s been sold something that isn’t right, or someone trying to resolve a dispute without going to court, we can help. Most disputes can be resolved without litigation if they’re handled correctly from the start. We get involved early, help you understand your position, and deal with the other side so you don’t have to.

Why going to court should always be the last resort.

Most business owners make this mistake…

Many people assume litigation is the only option when a dispute escalates. It rarely is. Negotiation and mediation are faster, cheaper, and far less disruptive – and in most cases, they get to the same result without the uncertainty of a court outcome.

Escalating Costs

Court proceedings can become expensive very quickly, often costing more than the original dispute is worth

Lost Time & Productivity

Managing disputes distracts from core business operations.

Reputational Risk

Prolonged disputes damage relationships and reputation.

Uncertain Legal Outcomes

Court proceedings come with unpredictability.

Sort it before it becomes a court matter.

FAQs

Negotiation and mediation support is charged at £195 per hour. For matters involving correspondence and pre-litigation advice, we’ll confirm the fee structure at your initial consultation before any work begins. A 30-minute consultation is £50 – deducted from your first invoice if you instruct us within 7 days.

It depends on the complexity of the dispute and whether the other side is willing to engage. Some matters are resolved within days of the first letter. Others take longer. We’ll give you an honest assessment of the likely timeline at the start – not an optimistic one.

Negotiation is not legally binding, but any agreement reached can be formalised into a binding contract.

If a resolution isn’t reached through negotiation, we’ll talk you through the realistic options – including what a court claim would involve, what it’s likely to cost, and whether it’s worth pursuing.

What Our Clients Say

I would highly recommend to anyone looking for legal advice; Rachael was both informative but at the same time understanding and genuinely compassionate to our cause.  I had been ringing around numerous legal consultants before coming across McKenzie Legal and the experience was night and day.  Rachael actually took the time to listen to our story before giving advice and deciding on the best steps to move forward, something I found most other establishments were not happy to do without demanding large sums of money upfront to even just review a potential case.  I can’t thank Rachael enough for the help she has provided.”

Mr W - Wokingham

Rachael is a personable, genuine and approachable legal professional who spares no expense. Rachael and her team at McKenzie Legal & HR dealt with our case tactfully throughout the full timeline and gave insightful, meticulous advice on how to best handle multiple given situations. Rachael’s advice consistently paid off, and it is clear that Rachael is a very experienced, intuitive individual who knows best on any given situation. It must be commented that Rachael has a heart of gold and went the extra mile for us, something that will never be forgotten. We would not be where we are now without her, and in our case, our livelihoods were saved by Rachael. I would not hesitate to use Rachael for any legal matters, and I implore anyone considering McKenzie Legal to not think twice. Thank you for everything you have done for us Rachael, you deserve all the work and good reviews you get.”
