We confirm expected timeframes at the outset. For PAYG clients we aim to respond within 2 working days. Where something is genuinely urgent, tell us and we’ll do what we can. Support Plan clients receive faster response times depending on their package.
Pay-as-you-go works well for one-off matters where you need advice without committing to ongoing support – reviewing a short contract, dealing with a specific dispute, or before taking action on an unpaid invoice. If your needs are more regular, a Support Plan will almost certainly work out better value.
The pay-as-you-go package gives you 3 hours of legal support to use as needed over a 12-month period. You can use the time across any of our services – ad-hoc advice, short document reviews, quick contract queries, or guidance on a specific situation. Once your hours are used, you can choose whether to purchase another package or move to a retainer if your needs have grown.
PAYG hours must be used within 6 months of purchase. Unused hours cannot be carried forward after that period. A maximum of two packages may be purchased within any 12-month period.
It’s for advice, not action – no drafting, no reviewing anything over a page, no contact with a third party on your behalf, no court or tribunal support. If your matter needs any of that, we’ll tell you and quote it separately, or point you to a support plan if it’s likely to keep coming up.
While no outcome can be guaranteed, involving a legal presence early often leads to faster responses and payment. It signals to the debtor that the matter is being taken seriously and may be escalated if ignored. The involvement of a legal firm in the process changes the dynamic – without the cost of formal action.
If payment isn’t received, we can advise you on the next steps, including formal debt recovery options. You remain in control of how far you wish to take the matter, and we’ll guide you through the process.
We’ll discuss your situation, tell you what we think, and confirm what’s involved if you want to proceed. If further work is needed, we’ll explain your options and agree everything with you before starting.
